After receiving the results of a DNA test, rapper Ren\u00e9 P\u00e9rez Joglar \u2013 better known as Residente \u2013 embarks on an adventure across the world to retrace his forefathers\u2019 steps and record his new album. His journey through Ghana, Siberia, China, United States and Puerto Rico, among other places, reveals the activism, awareness and diversity that integrate the ex-leader of Calle 13\u2019s work.<\/p>\n
Ren\u00e9 P\u00e9rez Joglar<\/strong> \u2013 better known as Residente- was born in Puerto Rico. A rapper, composer and producer, he was the cofounder and singer of Calle 13, a band that received 25 Grammy Awards, breaking the record for the Latin group with the most golden trophies. Residente has been recognized for his social commitment towards Latin American education and indigenous rights.
