En una primera etapa de su carrera desarroll\u00f3 cortometrajes documentales, dentro de la corriente del cine directo. Su primer largometraje de ficci\u00f3n, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sinon, oui<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, se estren\u00f3 en Cannes, en 1997.
