Sinopsis<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alfredo Ovando Cand\u00eda, exmilitar boliviano, ejerci\u00f3 la presidencia de su pa\u00eds en dos ocasiones. Figura controversial, se involucr\u00f3 en la modernizaci\u00f3n de Bolivia, pero tambi\u00e9n en actos represivos como la masacre de San Juan, en 1967, en la que el Ej\u00e9rcito asalt\u00f3 campamentos mineros dejando decenas de v\u00edctimas mortales. Medio siglo m\u00e1s tarde, su nieto decide indagar en los recuerdos familiares y archivos p\u00fablicos para resolver el enigma de su existencia: \u00bfqu\u00e9 yace en medio del abuelo amoroso y el pol\u00edtico inescrupuloso? <\/span><\/p>\n

Con pocos recursos tales como rollos caseros de super 8, noticieros de la \u00e9poca, conversaciones con sus parientes \u2014resalta la voz afable del padre del cineasta y el dolor contenido de su prima\u2014, Ovando logra un filme conmovedor, \u00edntegro y revelador sobre el peso del afecto y la \u00a0sombra de las dictaduras latinoamericanas que a\u00fan ensombrece nuestra memoria. <\/span><\/p>\n
