Laura Herrero Garv\u00edn es integrante de la asociaci\u00f3n audiovisual La Sand\u00eda Digital, cuyo objetivo es la reestructuraci\u00f3n del tejido social y la defensa de los derechos humanos a trav\u00e9s del cine. Estudi\u00f3 en la San Francisco Film Society y en 2010 empez\u00f3 a trabajar en M\u00e9xico como directora, fot\u00f3grafa y editora.
