During 2006, in Oaxaca, the Popular Assembly of the Peoples of Oaxaca (APPO) was formed by citizens and dissident teachers. They were fighting to overthrow Oaxaca’s then-Governor but the movement was sup- pressed by armed forces. At the time, a ten-year-old boy joined the movement. Now that he has turned 17, his perception of social structures has changed radically. We Never Forget is an intimate portrait of a rebellious voice and the way that it fights to be heard.
