The Calakmul biosphere reserve in Campeche is one of the most important in Mexico and the continent’s second largest right after Amazonia. However, authorities and residents are not properly handling the problem of solid waste there. The stories of The Future in Our Hands approaches this problem through Miguel, Armando and Víctor, three kids who, despite living in the municipal landfill and sorting garbage for a living, have not yet lost their innocence.
