Gyembo is 16, Tashi is 15. For thousands of years, their family has guarded a monastery in a remote village in Bhutan. Gyembo’s father expects him to continue this tradition, although he and his brother have other plans.
Dorottya Zurbó participated in the DocNomads Joint Masters postgraduate program in Documentary Direction, where she received the Erasmus Mundus grant to study in Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels. Her shorts received several awards such as the Best Student Documentary at the Astra Film Festival.
Arun Bhattarai studied in the DocNomads Joint Masters program, where he received the Erasmus Mundus grant to study in Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels. His work has been screened in festivals such as the Prix Jeunesse Festival and the Germany Film Festival. He is one of the few independent documentary filmmakers of Bhutan.
