SYNOPSIS

An exploration of the intense physical and mental work required in rhythmic gymnastics through the story of the Russian gymnast Margarita Mamun as she prepares for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

BIOGRAPHY

Marta Prus studied a Masters in Film Direction at the Polish National Film School, and a Degree in Art History at the Warsaw University. Her first documentary, Vakha i Magomed, was selected at IDFA and DOK Leipzig, amongst other festivals. Her interest in the subject of Over the Limit began as a child, as she was a member of the Polish rhythmical gymnastic team for 7 years.
