The Lagoon District in Northern Mexico is home to the last singers of the Cardenche Song, a wistful/nostalgic melody of love and disdain, of wailing and tragedy. This is a journey in search of the last vestiges of this tradition.
Marta Ferrer studied Photography at the Cataluña Film School. She also studied at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica and the Pompeu Fabra University. Her first feature documentary, El varal, won the award for Best Documentary at the Morelia Film Festival.
