This film explores the daily lives of Mexican children who, from a very young age, must work in the fields with their families. A portrait of the everyday struggle to survive in a reality that repeats itself one generation after the other.
Eugenio Polgovsky devoted his film career to the inhabitants of rural Mexico and to the study of the borders between nature and modern civilization. He received four Ariel Awards, the Hubert Bals Fund from the Rotterdam Film Festival, the José Rovirosa UNAM Award and the Joris Ivens Award at the Cinéma du Réel Film Festival, as well as over thirty other international awards.
