Slightly Toxic addresses the problems generated by the increased use of agrochemicals since the implementation of the Campeche government’s program, commonly known as Procampito. Through interviews with don José and don Armando, farmers and institutional representatives in the zone, many political, economic, and environmental conflicts and contradictions surrounding Calakmul, one of the most important natural reserves in Mexico, are uncovered.
